Scope and evidence
Evaluated on redirect units. The book marks this requirement .
Info for 302, 303 and 307 responses. The scanner cannot know whether a move is temporary. Permanent moves should use 301 or 308.
Observations
Each condition has a stable code and a reason template. The evaluator fills the placeholders from observed values only; no sentence in a report is generated.
temporary_redirect{source} redirects to {target} with {status}, a temporary redirect. The scanner cannot know whether the move is temporary. Google's redirects guide says the indexing pipeline "doesn't use the redirect as a signal that the redirect target should be canonical", the crawling documentation calls 302 "a weak signal that the redirect target should be processed", and Google recommends "a permanent server-side redirect whenever possible" for permanent moves.

These are the passages the rule rests on, stored once in the knowledge base and emitted exactly as written. A citation marked for specific conditions appears only on findings with those codes.
